Kinja'd!!!

About a week and a half ago 3 of the gauges on my 1978 Volvo Stopped working, temp, fuel level and tach. I talked to the guy who refurbished the gauge cluster (who does fantastic work with LEDs, highly recommended find his work !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) and he thought it was the cluster voltage regulator.

It would appear that isn't the issue, replaced the regulator and nothing got fixed. I'm also suspicious of the alternator though because it's been having problems starting and the voltage across the battery is only about 11V, but it starts fine on a jump. I've got the battery charger to it right now. I wanted to take it down to H2R tomorrow but I'm not sure if that is the best of ideas while I'm missing 3 gauges.

Bah! I'm just frustrated, I was really hoping it would be a simple fix of just swapping out that regulator. Classic car ownership is fun.
